The car screeched to a halt, throwing me against the seatbelt. My breath caught. The door slammed open, and before I could make sense of anything, he was at my side. In a blur, Ajay yanked me out of the car and shoved me against the cold metal door. His hand gripped my neck-not harsh enough to hurt, but firm enough to steal my air. I gasped at the suddenness, my body trembling under his hold. His eyes burned into mine, and when he spoke, it wasn't human-it was a growl, low and animalistic. "Kuch bhi sochne ka ya karne ka haq ab tumhara nahi hai, Nyra." The way my name rolled off his tongue sent a chilling shiver down my spine. For the first time, I realized-this wasn't just anger. "Sirf Mera hai" This was a warning.
